Why we believe your sponsor matters
Mark & NatalieYour LPT Realty sponsorsWe've been where you are.
We spent seven years at eXp Realty. And during those seven years, we learned a lot.
We grew our business, built some incredible relationships, celebrated successes, made mistakes, and experienced firsthand what it means to work at a cloud-based brokerage.
There were plenty of good times. And we're genuinely grateful for them. But there were also moments when we felt like we were on our own.
Times when we had questions and weren't sure where to turn. Times when we could have used some guidance, encouragement, or simply someone who had been through the same thing and could point us in the right direction.
It wasn't that we expected someone to build our business for us. We just wanted to know someone had our back.
And those experiences changed how we think about sponsorship.

A sponsor should be more than a name on your application.
One of the things we've come to understand is that choosing a brokerage and choosing a sponsor are two very different decisions.
A brokerage provides the platform, tools, compensation structure, and opportunities. But a great sponsor?
A great sponsor can help you navigate challenges, introduce you to the right people, share what they've learned, and help you avoid some of the mistakes they've already made.
They should be someone you feel comfortable calling when things aren't going according to plan. Not just when you're thinking about joining.
Six months later. Two years later. When things are going great. And especially when they're not.
Because that's when having someone in your corner really matters.
Why We Chose LPT Realty
When we started looking at LPT Realty, we were obviously interested in the business model, technology, and opportunities. But we were also looking for something else.
A brokerage that breaks down the silos that can exist in revenue-share models.
At some brokerages, agents can find themselves working within separate groups or organizations, where access to certain resources, training, or support depends on who sponsored them.
One of the things that attracted us to LPT Realty was its approach to eliminating those barriers.
In fact, LPT Realty has a policy that prevents agents from offering special incentives or anything of additional value simply to convince another agent to join their downline.
Why does that matter?
Because we believe collaboration shouldn't depend on whose organization you're part of. Great ideas, shared knowledge, and opportunities to learn from one another should benefit the entire agent community.
Your sponsor should matter because of the relationship you build, not because of what they're offering to entice you to join.
We wanted to be part of a brokerage where experienced agents help newer agents, where sharing ideas is encouraged, and where agents genuinely want to see each other succeed.
And where sponsorship is about building lasting relationships, not simply recruiting someone and moving on to the next person.
For us, that was a huge part of choosing LPT Realty.
We're still Realtors. Just like you.
We're not sitting on the sidelines telling other agents how to run their businesses. We're actively working with buyers and sellers in Calgary.
We're navigating changing markets, negotiating offers, creating marketing strategies, dealing with inspections, and having those occasionally uncomfortable conversations with clients. We know what it's like because we're doing it too.
Between us, we've been involved in hundreds of real estate transactions. Natalie also brings her professional background in staging and design, while Mark has more than a decade of experience in real estate and a strong focus on technology, marketing, and video.
We're always learning, and we certainly don't pretend to have all the answers. But when we discover something that works, we love sharing it. And when another agent has a great idea, we want to learn from them too.
That's what collaboration should look like.
What you can expect from us.
If you choose to join LPT Realty with us as your sponsors, here's what we want you to know.
We're not going to promise you that every day will be easy. We're not going to tell you we have some magic formula that guarantees success. And we're definitely not going to pretend we know everything.
But we do believe in showing up for people.
That means being approachable, sharing our experience, helping you connect with the right resources, and creating opportunities for agents to learn from one another.
It also means being honest when we don't have an answer and helping you find someone who does.
We want to build a community of agents who genuinely want to see each other succeed. Not because they're obligated to. Because they want to.
Seven years taught us something important.
Looking back, we don't regret our time at eXp.
It was an important chapter in our real estate careers, and we wouldn't trade the lessons we learned.
But if there's one thing those seven years reinforced, it's this:
The brokerage you choose matters. But the people you surround yourself with can matter just as much.
That's the philosophy we're bringing to LPT Realty.
And it's the kind of environment we're working to build here in Calgary.
Let's have a conversation.
Maybe you're happy where you are but curious about LPT. Maybe you're exploring your options. Or maybe you've experienced some of the same frustrations we have.
Whatever your situation, we're happy to have a conversation.
No pressure. No big sales pitch. Just two Realtors sharing what we've learned and why we're excited about what we're building.
We know what it's like to feel like you're on your own. That's why we're building something different.
